Testing of single pole single through switch  by using                one amp load

Components  needed for testing of  spst  switch are

1.       . Rheostat

2.       Regulated  power supply  (0-30 v ac )

3.       spst switch

4.       connecting wires

  

Procedure  :

1.  Connect  the  probes to the negative and positive  of the RPS  (regulated  power supply)

   2.      Connect the negative  wire of RPS  to the terminal of rheostat  ie..,   down  side terminal  and                              leave the upside terminal of rheostat and positive of RPS

   3.   The positive terminal wire of the RPS and the  up side  terminal wire of  rheostat are the                     testing  wires by these wires only we have to test the  switches

   4.    Fix the value of RPS by varying the rheostat check the reading of the RPS  should be 1 amp

   5.  check  the switch as per the   sticker  on the switch first check  one side  i e ..,  A- 1 side

   6.     Then check the another side of the switch  B -1 side
