Testing of variable resistor of 504w using digital multi meter

Testing of  variable resistor of 504 w

components required for testing of variable resistor or potentio meter  are 

1. variable resistor

2. digital multi meter with probes

3. bread board 

4. connecting wires                                                                                                                              

  5. screw driver                                                                                                                                                            

        procedure :                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     

                step 1                                                                                                                                                          
 connect the multimeter  with probes  positive  and negative  with signs given + , -      

           step 2                                                                                                                                  

connect  the  multi meter probes and connecting wires                                              

                          

               step 3                                                                                                                                            
 place these connnecting wires  in the bread board                                                  


                                                                                                                                                                                      step 4                                                                                                                                                              Then place the variable  resistor  in series of the  connecting wires   and see the  reading of themulti meter   it will be .300  then place the  tester or screw driver on the   variable resistor  screw and rotate anti clock wise  until 000 units and then  rotate clock  wise  until .500  units or it should be plus + or minus- 10 that of .500                                                                                                                                                                    

  note :                                                                                                                         

                       check the multi meter readings correctly it should be + or - 10 percent that of .500  units
